Stories of Toxic Reduction Success
The publication of Silent Spring by Rachel Carson in 1962 ignited broader inquiry into how toxic chemicals can adversely affect human health and the natural world. Over a half century later, despite many advances, it is too difficult to find out what is being done to solve these problems. The RESULTS Project will make it easier to discover and understand progress in this field. We will introduce you to outstanding examples of the game-changing work of high-achieving nonprofit organizations, who every day make progress in addressing this profound and challenging situation, and help us move toward a world of safer alternatives.
The RESULTS Project, sponsored by The Fine Fund, is dedicated to helping these organizations make their work more known, and encouraging the growth of financial and other forms of support for this field of work. Social entrepreneurs, community-led efforts, scientific research – all are making a real difference and producing impact that is measurable. Listen to their stories. Get to know them through their work. And join in supporting their efforts to reduce and eliminate toxic materials and show the pathway to safer alternatives.
